Not everyone has the time or space to be Martha Stewart on Thanksgiving Day, and San Diego chefs are whipping up enticing plates with all the trimmings.
Why it matters: Reservations are already booked at many local restaurants, but there are still a few tables to snag for a Thanksgiving meal out.
Paradisaea, an upscale Michelin Guide-recognized restaurant in Birdrock, is serving a three-course meal for $125 per person with evening reservations open.
- The menu choices include roasted turkey, filet, seared snapper or mushroom risotto for the main course, traditional Thanksgiving sides for the table, pumpkin crème brûlée and more.
Le Coq, a new French steakhouse in La Jolla, offers another high-end Thanksgiving feast with James Beard-finalist chef Tara Monsod at the helm. It's $107 per person and has afternoon availability.
Blue Boheme in Kensington also delivers a French twist on the traditional prix fixe meal, with a three-course Thanksgiving dinner for $85 per person. A couple of afternoon slots are open.
Herb and Sea in Encinitas is serving a four-course meal with family style sides for $92 per person with plenty of open tables throughout the day.
Barleymash in Gaslamp is serving a three course meal with a side of football starting at 3pm. Make reservations here.
For buffet-style meals, get a table at ZENTRL Kitchen + Bar at The Lot in Liberty Station ($70), the Bahia Resort Hotel on Mission Bay ($150), Arlo in Mission Valley ($95), Brickmans Restaurant & Bar at the Lakehouse Resort in San Marcos ($85) or Vistal at the Intercontinental Hotel downtown on the Bayfront ($115).
