Four great San Diego Beer Week 2024 events

San Diego Beer Week kicked off this weekend, and after a year without a marquee event it will now end with a festival celebrating the local beer community.

The big picture: Here are four Beer Week events we'd try to attend if we had any free time this week.

Tuesday: Beer School (11/5, Grand Ole BBQ's North Park location): Learn all about beer from two of the county's OG breweries, Pizza Port and Coronado, while eating the best BBQ in the region.
Wednesday: Pure Project Keep the Glass (11/6 and 11/13 at all Pure Project locations): Get some merch from a top tier San Diego brewery.
Friday: North Park Beer Co. West Coast IPA Takeover (11/8, Crown Point location): North Park Beer Co is one of the best West Coast IPA breweries on the planet, and they've invited 10+ breweries they think have mastered the style to take over the taps at their newest location.
Saturday: Capital of Craft Beerfest' (11/9, behind Killowatt Brewing on Clairemont Mesa): The San Diego Brewers Guild is throwing a festival to cap the week, with live music and unlimited tasters for a $65.87 ticket. It's also launching a new competition where attendees can vote on their favorite hoppy beer to crown the county's people's champ.
