Exhibits explore intersection of art and science

The Oceanside Museum of Art and Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography are giving visitors a unique experience to see how art and science connect.  

Driving the news: Both venues are hosting exhibits that highlight environmental issues as part of the PST ART: Art & Science Collide regional event. 

• Members of the museum or the aquarium will be able to visit the other exhibit for free in November if they show their membership cards. 

Zoom in: The aquarium's Embodied Pacific: Ocean Unseen features interactive installations by 18 artists exploring how technology shapes our understanding of the ocean's mysteries.

• The museum's Transformative Currents: Art and Action in the Pacific Ocean features a collection of videos, sculptures, drawings, and photos by 21 artists related to ocean currents and improving coastal conditions.
