Don't try to travel across the city this weekend.
The big picture: The Pittsburgh Marathon is closing down many roads Friday, Saturday and Sunday that will impact travel.
- Here's a breakdown:
Friday
Beginning at noon, Boulevard of the Allies will close between Wood and Stanwix and will remain closed through the end of the race on Sunday.

Saturday
Starting at 6:45am, several roads — like Seventh Street, Allegheny Circle and Wood Street — in the North Shore and Downtown will close for the day's 5K, 1-mile, and kids' races.
- The roads are expected to reopen by noon.
- This map shows the Saturday road closures.

Sunday
Starting at 1:30am, rolling road closures will impact over a dozen city neighborhoods.
- Downtown starts first, followed by the Strip District, then the North Side, circling around the city.
- Check this map for exact time and places of closures.
Pro tip: If you're stuck inside the race loop during the road closures and need to leave, or outside the race loop and need to get in, consult this map.
State of play: A Pirates game starts at 1:35pm Sunday, and Acrisure is hosting Pitt's commencement ceremony at 3:30pm.
- Officials suggest giving yourself some extra travel time if heading to the North Shore.
- The Pirates also play late Friday afternoon and Saturday evening, when road closures won't be in effect.
The bottom line: No-parking signs will be posted over the next few days, according to a press release.
- Anyone parked in no-parking zones will be towed.
