Opa Fé, a new bakery focused on artisan croissants, will open at SouthSide Works this summer.
The big picture: Backed by Opal Group, a Pittsburgh-based restaurant group that operates the Michelin-recommended Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings on the South Side, Opa Fé will pair the city's European baking roots with a sleek aesthetic, per a news release.
Zoom in: The menu will feature classic, savory and seasonal croissants, plus specialty drinks such as matcha, fruit and milk teas, and premium coffee.
Self-service kiosks and a loyalty app will help streamline customers' experience, owners say.
What's next: Opa Fé will occupy 4,200 square feet at 2720 Sidney St. on the South Side starting this summer.
