A "Stranger Things" pop-up bar opened the gate to the Upside Down in Bakery Square.
Why it matters: With the series finale of the popular five-season Netflix show set for New Year's Eve, Over & Under lets fans face down a life-size demogorgon while sipping a specialty cocktail like the Demogorgarita.
The vibe: The bar, which is 21 and up, also features a replica of the Byers family's living room and other very familiar show items, from walkie-talkies to a box of Eleven's Eggo waffles.
- Villain Vecna's clock sits in a corner wrapped in vines.
- A red-headed doll hangs from the ceiling, just as fan-favorite Max Mayfield (played by Sadie Sink) was lifted into the air under Vecna's trance in season four.
- The bar doesn't serve food but does offer seating and a couch in front of a projector that plays episode reruns.

Take a sip: The Demogorgarita is made with Jose Cuervo Tradicional Blanco, triple sec and pomegranate agave ($14).
- Other drinks include the Upside Down ($14), Eleven's Eggo-Fashioned ($15) and the Hellfire Club ($16), to name a few.
Zoom in: Designer Grace Papa tells Axios that the bar does not have any major watch parties planned for the three-episode drop on Christmas Day or the New Year's Eve finale due to technical reasons.
- "We were originally planning on doing screenings, but unfortunately the sound on the projector can't reach very far and we don't want to promise a great watch party and [guests] not be able to hear it from where they're sitting," she said.
Yes, but: The "Stranger Things" finale, which premieres Dec. 31 on Netflix, will play in theaters on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
- AMC Waterfront 22, AMC Westmoreland 15, Cinemark Robinson Township, and Century Square Luxury Cinemas in West Mifflin will screen the two-hour finale.

💠Alexis' thought bubble: As a fan of the show, I loved the attention to detail, which was a mix of Hawkins lore like the Snow Ball dance and a person in a hazmat suit stuck in the Upside Down.
If you go: The gate will close Feb. 28, long after we say goodbye to our favorite Hawkins residents.
