Tandoori Tales reimagines waffles with Indian flavors

🍛 Context: Tandoori Tales opened in August, serving fast-casual and modern Indian dishes like rice bowls, naan tacos and samosas for the Downtown lunch crowd.

🧇 Dig in: I tried their dosa waffles, and they were an inventive step into South Asian cuisine.

• Dosas are crepes made from a fermented batter of ground rice and lentils.
• Tandoori Tales' dosa waffles come in traditional form — loaded with spiced potatoes and served with mild chutney — and with chicken tikka served with a chimichurri-like chutney and a dangerously spicy ghost pepper sauce.

💭 Ryan's thought bubble: The waffles retain the slight crisp that dosas are known for and are just fluffy enough for an interesting treat. They taste earthier than traditional waffles.
