Pittsburgh's holiday season kicks off Nov. 22 with Light Up Night, featuring fireworks, vendors, tree lightings and free concerts across Downtown.
Zoom in: Festivities are free and open to the public, starting at 4pm at the Highmark Main Stage at Penn Avenue and Stanwix Street with live music.
The first tree lighting will begin at 5pm at the City-County Building on Grant Street, followed by Zambelli fireworks.
The UPMC Ultimate Holiday Tree at PPG Plaza will be lit at 6pm, followed by the Highmark Christmas Tree lighting on the old Horne's Department store at Stanwix Street and Penn Avenue at 7pm.
The Three Sister Bridges will light up at 8pm, followed by fireworks at 9:30pm.
Zoom out: The Peoples Gas Holiday Market will open Nov. 21 at a new location — 7th Street and Penn Avenue in the Cultural District — due to Market Square renovations. It runs through Dec. 24.
