Pumpkin spice takes flight with new wings

Move over PSLs, it's time to pumpkin up some chicken wings.

The intrigue: Wings Over locations in Pittsburgh and across the country are unveiling a pumpkin spice sauce for their chicken tenders and wings on Monday, adding a new peculiar way to taste the warm fall flavors.

🎃 Dig in: We tried the boneless wings and tenders, and they were extremely fragrant. The pumpkin-spice smell is unmistakable.

A good balance of sweet, smoky, and tangy.
They weren't overly spicy, but a little heat lingered at the end.

What's inside: The sauce is flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and a touch of ginger.

🍗 If you go: Pumpkin spice chicken is available at Wings Over locations through Nov. 30.

The Pittsburgh location is at 2002 E. Carson St., South Side. Take out only.

What's next: A Wings Over location is coming soon to Penn Avenue in Garfield, per the company's website.
