2nd victim identified in Clairton explosion

Zoom in: Menefee was pronounced dead at the scene after being pulled from rubble Monday evening, per the Allegheny County Medical Examiner. His family has requested privacy, officials said at a Tuesday news conference.

Between the lines: Scott Buckiso, a U.S. Steel senior vice president, said Tuesday that operations had resumed at the facility. The plant produces coke, or fuel derived from coal that's used in the steelmaking process.

Zoom out: At least three fundraisers are helping explosion victims. Residents are selling "Clairton Strong" shirts, hoodies and yard signs to raise money for United Steelworkers Local 1557, which will distribute the funds to victims and their families.

• A separate campaign is collecting donations for Ty Antonelli, a father of three who was injured in the blast, to support his recovery, living expenses and other needs.
