There's nothing like a strong cup of joe to help you through a long week.

🇹🇷 The intrigue: Pittsburgh's Turkish community has more restaurants than you think (not just Levantine cuisine, but also pizza joints and Euro-style brunch locales), and the Turkish coffee at Geppetto Cafe is as good as I have had in Pittsburgh.

Dig in: It's as strong as jet fuel with fine grounds sitting gently at the bottom of a tiny cup. Served with two small Turkish delights that complement the coffee's intense flavor.

The vibe: I stopped by the Bloomfield location, and its a buzzing brunch spot with quick service, friendly wait staff, and puppet-themed decor.

There's a Lawrenceville location, too.

☕️ Pro tip: Sip slowly to avoid a mouthful of finely ground sludge at the bottom of the cup. And if adding sugar, stir slowly to not jostle the grounds loose.
