What's new at Ross Park this year

Ross Park Mall will add a host of new retail and dining options this year — from a Tex-Mex chain to a popular workwear store.

Why it matters: As malls nationwide struggle to fill floor space and entice shoppers, Ross Park remains a dominant shopping destination in the region.

Zoom in: Mall owner Simon Property Group says nine new spots are slated to open throughout the year. They are:

• Clothing stores Carhartt, Aritzia, Unsubscribed, Garage, State & Liberty and Allen Edmonds.
• Western wear retailer Tecovas.
• Mexican chain restaurant Plaza Azteca.
• Capital One 360 Cafe, a concept combining banking with food, drinks and baked goods.
