As God as our witness, we believe turkeys will fly. In Hamilton, in fact.

Driving the news: One of TV's most infamous Thanksgiving stunts is getting a real-life reboot, courtesy of WKRP-FM.

Catch up quick: The event pays homage to the legendary 1978 "WKRP in Cincinnati" episode in which a radio station's Thanksgiving promotion goes spectacularly wrong.

In the episode, hapless reporter Les Nessman watches in horror as live turkeys are dropped from a helicopter, only to discover they can't fly.

The big picture: The once-fictional WKRP became a real Cincinnati-area radio station in May, nearly 50 years after the sitcom debuted.

Hamilton businesses have hosted similar turkey drops since 2023, but this is the station's first official version.

🦃 The flight plan: On Nov. 25, WKRP-FM will recreate the stunt with a decidedly more humane twist: rubber turkeys.

Instead of a helicopter, the birds will drop from a fire truck ladder.
The turkey landing closest to the target wins a cash prize.

📍 Prepare for landing: The festivities begin at 7:30pm Thanksgiving Eve between Municipal Brew Works and the Casual Pint.

Rubber turkeys cost $10 each, with net proceeds benefiting Butler County's Open Door Food Pantry.
