Loveland might be one of the easiest places North of Cincy to turn a Saturday into a mini vacation.
Coffee, bikes, books, beer and ice cream are all packed into a downtown built around the Little Miami Scenic Trail — meaning you can park the car and mostly forget about it.
8:30am: Start with coffee at Mile 42 Coffee, a cozy shop appropriately named for its spot near mile 42 of the trail.
- Ribbiting stuff: The shop has embraced the legend of the Loveland Frogman, the city's resident cryptid, with the creature appearing on its cups.

9:30am: Walk over to Bike Trail Books, an independent bookstore practically planted on the trail.
- Browse for your next read before embarking on the activity that gives downtown Loveland much of its personality: cycling.
10:30am: Rent some wheels from Loveland Bike Rental and take a ride on the Little Miami Scenic Trail.
- Pro tip: Don't feel obligated to turn this into the Tour de France. A leisurely out-and-back leaves plenty of energy for the important part of this itinerary.
12:30pm: Return the bikes and grab lunch.
- For a quintessentially Loveland option, snag a table at Paxton's Grill, a longtime downtown staple right along the trail.
2pm: Do a little shopping at Blume Home, a shop specializing in an eclectic mix of handmade and vintage-inspired home décor.
3:30pm: Reward all that exercise and shopping with a beer at Narrow Path Brewing Co.
- The brewery sits right on the trail, making its patio a prime spot to settle in with a pint and watch the cyclists roll through town.
5:30pm: Dinner depends on your mood. If you'd like to keep things casual (an obvious post-cycling preference), hit Ramsey's Trailside for patio vibes and great eats.

7:30pm: Save room. We're rounding out the day at Loveland Dairy Whip.
- The creamy whip has been serving soft-serve treats since 1955.
