Charm at the Farm returns to Lebanon this weekend

Charm at the Farm returns this weekend, bringing thousands of shoppers to a 56-acre Lebanon farm for a fall-leaning weekend of good, old-fashioned fun.

Why it matters: The market doubles as a showcase for small businesses and a form of agritourism that keeps farmland in use while giving back to local nonprofits.

The big picture: Founder Amy Doyle launched Charm a decade ago with about 60 vendors after looking around the farm where her family lived and realizing, "we had all this space" that could become a market.

Charm has since grown to a little over 100 curated vendors, with more than 3,000 people typically attending its June and August markets. The October market is usually even busier.

What to expect: August's event gets an early jump on autumn, with Doyle promising "fall finds that you don't even realize that you need till you see them."

There'll also be mini Highland cows, adoptable puppies and kittens, a new "Play on the Way" kids area, a face painter and food trucks.

Giving back: For its 10th anniversary, Charm is donating $1 from every ticket to nonprofits it has supported over the years like HER Cincinnati and Madi’s House. Shoppers can add donations at checkout as well.
