New Cincy Light serves UC support at Cincinnati Open

Rhinegeist and the Cincinnati Open are teaming up on a limited-edition Cincy Light can, pairing two Queen City favorites while also supporting University of Cincinnati athletes.

Why it matters: It's more than just a cool-looking beer can with tennis balls on it. The Cincinnati Open partnership gives Cincy Light a bigger stage while a portion of every can sold supports Cincinnati Athletics through its NIL initiative.

Zoom in: The 19.2-ounce tournament can contains the original Cincy Light recipe — not Cincy Light Lime or the watermelon and sea salt or blood orange varieties.

Where to find it: It'll be available at the Cincinnati Open (Aug. 8-23) and retailers throughout the region.

💭 Casey's thought bubble: This is just straight-up Cincy Light. If you already like it, you'll like this. If you don't, well... you probably still won't. The biggest difference isn't the artwork, it's the size of the can.

If you're getting it at the tournament, bring a koozie. That's a lot of light beer to keep cold in the August sun – nobody wants to finish the last few sips of warm, light beer.
