The vibe: "We're messy. We're fun," Ginni Naegle, the chain's director of franchise operations, tells Axios.

Pro tip: Give your server an occasion for a shoutout. "You don't have to be celebrating something. You can make up something, and we'll celebrate that, too," Naegle says.

By the numbers: This will be the chain's third Mesa restaurant and 19th Arizona location.

• Angry Crab Shack started in Mesa in 2013.

💭 My thought bubble: I like to order a half-pound of shrimp with garlic sauce at level 3 heat, aptly named "I Can't Feel My Lips," with a red potato and corn on the cob — and it's always finger-licking good.

• But I'm intrigued to tweak my next order after talking to Naegle, who says she always gets the trifecta sauce — garlic, lemon pepper and Cajun — with her shrimp and crab boil.
