KC's FIFA Fan Fest is officially under construction at the World War I Museum and Memorial.
Why it matters: Only a couple weeks remain before the start of the tournament on June 11.
Zoom in: The South Lawn is closed, and cars are being routed away from the entrance.
- Crews yesterday were installing translucent signage along the perimeter fence.
Between the lines: The museum is still open, with ridehailing, bus and pedestrian access to the north and west via Kessler Road.
The intrigue: Missouri native Sheryl Crow will perform at Fan Fest on July 10, 7:30-8:30pm.
- It's the most recent addition to a lineup of free concerts.
