United WE, a Kansas City-based national nonprofit focused on women's economic and civic leadership, packed CPKC Stadium on Tuesday for its Champions for Change breakfast.
- The event doubled as the organization's 35th anniversary celebration.

Zoom in: KC Current co-owner Brittany Mahomes was named the nonprofit's first-ever Champion for Change, accepting the honor for her role in pushing women's professional sports forward.
- The morning was emceed by NFL Network host and KC native Kimmi Chex, with speakers including Forbes editor-at-large Maneet Ahuja and Female Quotient founder Shelley Zalis.
- "We keep talking about fixing the women. Women aren't broken. It's fixing the systems that have left people out," Zalis said on the panel.
