St. Patrick's celebrations in KC this weekend and Tuesday

• Here are some big ways to get involved:

☘️ Saturday, March 14

North Kansas City's Snake Saturday parade includes a carnival with rides and food like funnel cakes and root beer.

• The parade runs down Armour Road and starts at 11am. The carnival runs from 10am–3pm.
• A 5k run ($30) takes place earlier at 8am.

Brookeside's St. Patrick's warm-up parade starts at 65th and Wornall and ends up around Meyer Boulevard and Brookside Road.

• The party kicks off at 2pm.

Leawood is hosting KC Running Company's 5th annual St. Patrick's 5k at Park Place, complete with a costume contest and top-place awards.

• The race starts at 8am ($34).

Kelly's Westport Inn is hosting an early St. Pat's party, with doors opening at 11am.

• Don't worry. They're partying on Tuesday too, starting at 10am.

☘️ Tuesday, March 17

Kansas City's St. Patrick's Day parade runs south on Broadway, from Linwood Boulevard to 43rd Street, ending in a kids' zone.

• The parade begins at 11:30am.

Browne's Irish Market in KCMO will be pouring pints all day, with live music, Irish dancers, extended food options and mid-day whiskey sampling. Sounds like a great reason to call out of work.

• The party runs from 8:30am to 7pm.
