Republican Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe on Tuesday gave his annual state of the state address.
Why it matters:The speech outlined his priorities for the coming year, including reducing government funding, eliminating state income tax, and welcoming nuclear energy and artificial intelligence.
Missouri is open for AI, and we're open for business. Economic development is a top priority for this administration.

The other side: Gretchen Waddell Barwick, director of the Sierra Club's Missouri chapter, criticized Kehoe's support of nuclear energy while restricting solar energy projects.
And Missouri Democrats say getting rid of the state income tax would result in a higher sales tax.
Kehoesaid the state would make up for lost funding by closing e-commerce tax loopholes.
