UMKC is getting its own officially licensed bobblehead, giving Kansas City's largest university a new desk-sized symbol of Roo pride on National Bobblehead Day.
Why it matters: For a university that plays an outsized role in KC's education, health care and arts scenes, this is a small but visible moment of recognition for the Roos.
"We know how passionate UMKC alumni, fans, students, faculty and staff are about their school," National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar tells Axios.
