Playing in the woods

If you paid attention to last week's outros, you would have seen I was participating in the Wild Driftless Adventure Race in Iowa this past weekend.

What's an adventure race? Think geocaching, but you can't use GPS — only a map and a compass, baby.

• Oh, and you have to get to each "checkpoint" by bushwhacking, mountain biking, canoeing and sometimes even rappelling.

Sound fun? It was a blast.
