Leaders from World Cup cities convened at the White House on Tuesday as part of the country's ongoing preparations for one of the world's largest events.
The big picture: Andrew Giuliani, executive director of the White House FIFA World Cup Task Force, says $625 million is being allocated to cities' host committees for law enforcement purposes.
What they're saying: Pam Kramer, chief executive of KC2026, said in a statement to Axios that the event's success will require "collaboration at every level."
"With 288 days until the first match, Tuesday's session provided an opportunity for KC2026 to present Kansas City's unique planning considerations, particularly regarding security and transportation."
