There's a local running club that has your name on it any day of the week — whether you're an avid runner or just looking to move your body and make friends.
Why it matters: Group running is a great way to achieve your fitness goals and meet new people in a low-key environment. Plus, you always have something to talk about: running.
What they're saying: River Bluff Run Club organizer Kinsey Stephens tells Axios that when she moved to Kansas City in 2024, she was new to running and didn't know anyone.
- "The KC running community welcomed me, supported me, and helped me grow — not just as a runner, but as a person. It turned a city of strangers into home."
