Chick-fil-A explores North Huntsville location

Chick-fil-A is exploring a location near the Northern Bypass intersection with Memorial Parkway.

Why it matters: It's the latest company eyeing the area near the $240-million North Village Town Center, which is anchored by Target and Home Depot and part of a larger surge of growth around the nearly complete Northern Bypass.

The latest: The location of a Chick-fil-A at a currently vacant lot at 114 Bob Wade Lane was held for technical reasons from the Aug. 18 Board of Zoning Adjustment agenda, per Communications Director Kelly Schrimsher, who said it could be back on the board's September agenda.

That's near the Raceway gas station at the intersection of Bob Wade Lane and North Memorial Parkway.

Zoom out: The restaurant could add momentum to an area where developments are stacking up, from the North Village town Center to the the 500-plus-acre Harris Farms development.
