The second-largest research park in America just landed another big name.
Zoom in:Frontgrade Technologies, of Colorado Springs, announced yesterday the opening of its eight facility in Cummings Research Park in Huntsville.
Per an announcement, the new Advanced Research & Development Center will help the company accelerate development of its mission processing technologies which support space, defense, intelligence and national security.
The latest: The location expands the company's engineering capabilities and brings its research teams closer to customers, government organizations, industry partners and academic institutions, the announcement says.
What they're saying: "Having lived and worked here for many years, I have found that Huntsville is home to a community that has always represented the power of innovation, collaboration, and service," CEO Mitch Stevison said in a release.
Bringing Frontgrade to Huntsville is a "meaningful milestone for me, both personally and professionally," he said.
Zoom out: Frontgrade is the largest provider of analog and radiation-hardened electronics for aerospace, defense and medical industries, and has supported every manned space flight since Apollo 11 in 1969, the company says.
