Photos du jour: The backyard has sprung

The weather is (mostly) great, and the garden is really kicking into gear.
The big picture: It's becoming more and more difficult to stay at my desk working and not wander around the backyard checking on my plants.
State of play: Pea harvests have been ongoing for about a week, and my tomatoes, potatoes, squash, pumpkins, peppers, melons and ground cherries are well on their way.
🤞 Here's to getting some squash harvested before the Squash Vine Borers wake up.
The latest: This year we've got some new additions, too.
- An Eastern box turtle has camped out somewhere in the yard and is making the occasional appearance.
- Birds are colonizing the yard as well, including one family with hatchlings in the bird house, and some robins with a few on the way, who made a nest on one of my fence gates that's now unusable for the foreseeable future.
