Guntersville's small-stage, big ticket concert series

Zoom in: Organizer Scott Smith told Axios Huntsville "every show is meant to be like a Nashville Writer's Round at the Bluebird."

• Alongside the music, artists tell stories about the songs they're playing, he said. "It creates this really unique, intimate, special atmosphere where you get to know the artist."

Case in point: The series has hosted three shows so far, featuring artists like Marc Broussard, Maggie Rose and Liz Longley.

What they're saying: "I just love hosting and sharing good music," Smith said, "and as much music as there is around North Alabama, there's nowhere to go do this."

What's next: The next show is April 9 featuring singer-songwriter David Ryan Harris and keyboardist Gabe Dixon, who has toured with Paul McCartney, Alison Krauss and Tedeschi Trucks Band.

• Standard tickets are $45 and VIP, which includes a meet-and-greet with the artists, costs an extra $20.
• Tickets also include pizza from Pizza Ed's, around the corner.

Catch up quick: The shows grew out of company events, said Smith, founder of True Network Advisors.

• Currently, the shows are quarterly, but he's hoping to add more.
