The Trilogy Hotel opened its doors Thursday, with first guest Chad Emerson, managing director for Huntsville City Football Club.
Why it matters: The hotel's opening brings a new option to downtown, and wraps up a project on a high-profile site that's been in the works for years.
- Part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, the hotel sits directly across Monroe Street from the Von Braun Center and borders Big Spring Park.
What they're saying: Emerson, former CEO of Downtown Huntsville, Inc., congratulated the team from Ascent Hospitality on "building a beautiful hotel that is part of the 2017 master plan for downtown, it really is the capstone."
Catch up quick: Originally approved by the city in early 2019, construction was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic to 2023.
