Family-owned Italian restaurant Floriana is opening at MidCity next year.
Why it matters: The family-owned restaurant is another big get for MidCity, as developer RCP Companies keeps working to bring big-ticket restaurants and concepts to the area.
Zoom in: Owners Jamie Branda and Dino Tapper, Floriana's son, now lead the restaurant, which also has Washington, D.C. and Wilmington, N.C. locations, according to an announcement.
Known for scratch-made gnocchi, ravioli, tortelloni and lasagna, Floriana's Huntsville restaurant will include a raw bar, burgers and wood-fired pizzas as well as a wine cellar and craft cocktails.
It will be located in an 8,000-square-foot, two-story corner spot in the NOLA Building at the intersection of Mid City Drive and Stax Street.
What they're saying: "We're excited to bring our family's tradition of quality, hospitality and Italian-inspired celebration to Huntsville through the vibrant and growing community at MidCity District," Branda said.
