An environmental assessment by the U.S. Air Force looking at six potential sites for Space Command headquarters offers some insight into what construction may look like.
A conceptual rendering shows a modern, angular building and details in the report are based on a 464,000-square-foot facility for about 1,450 employees.

"The aesthetic design of the proposed HQ facility would display a dignified architectural character without excessive ornamentation and convey the importance of the USSPACECOM mission," it says.
