Two Huntsville musicians are garnering national fame following the 40th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards in Nashville last Saturday, known as the "Grammys of Gospel."
Why it matters: Huntsville's music scene continues to find spotlights, snowballing its national profile thanks to artists like ADIA Andrews and Dante' Pride.
Both are Huntsville Music Ambassadors, the first strategic music export program in the country to be launched and administered at the municipal government level, an announcement from Huntsville Music Office notes.
Andrews earned "New Artist of the Year" and "Song of the Year" for her work on "Amen," alongside Michael McClure Jr., Terrell Anthony Pettus, Andrea Crouch, David "DLo" Outing and Pastor Mike Jr.
Pride was nominated for Rap/Hip Hop Song of the Year for "Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah," featuring Lisa Page Brooks, and performed live during the ceremony.
