Hollywood searches for missing pickleball rooster

Pickles, a rooster and unofficial mascot of the pickleball courts at Stanley Goldman Memorial Park, has been missing for more than a week.

Why it matters: Hollywood pickleball players are desperate to find him, Miami New Times reports.

Catch up quick: After arriving on the scene in early 2025, Pickles has become a beloved member of the park's pickleball community.

• They've built him a roost near the courts, bought him live worms and diapers and made him a custom bath, according to New Times.

State of play: Pickles has not been seen since June 28 and the pickleballers are worried.

• There's a $450 reward for information that leads to Pickles' whereabouts.

What they're saying: "He would never leave," Todd Fopiano told New Times. "That was his home."

The latest: Fopiano wrote in the "Pickleball Hollywood" Facebook group Sunday night that he is "working leads with the neighborhood kids."
