Miami's popular Ophelia bakery is headed to Fort Lauderdale

Ophelia, the popular vintage-RV bakery located off U.S. 1 in Coconut Grove, is coming to Fort Lauderdale's Huizenga Park this fall.
Why it matters: It will be Ophelia's first location in Broward County.
Catch up quick: Founded by husband-and-wife team Ana De Sa Martins and Juan Vieira last year, the mobile café is known for its specialty coffee and homemade breads, pastries, syrups, cold foams and signature breakfast sandwich.
- The classically trained chefs previously worked at Stubborn Seed, The Surf Club and Patisserie Chanson.
- The coffee-glazed cinnamon rolls and the brown sugar cinnamon latte have drawn lines early in the morning.
What they're saying: "What's happening in downtown Fort Lauderdale right now is as exciting as anything we've seen, and Huizenga Park is at the center of it," Vieira said in a press release.
Zoom in: The Fort Lauderdale outpost will serve coffee, pastries and grab-and-go breakfast and lunch options.
- Ophelia joins Mr. Smash Burgers inside Huizenga Park, which reopened in January following a $15 million renovation.
- Sweetwaters, the park's first full-service restaurant, is also opening in the fall.
The intrigue: Vieira said the Coconut Grove location is expanding its hours and teased that "there's more coming."
