Emagine opens Parker theater Thursday

Emagine Parker opens tomorrow at the former AMC Twenty Mile 10 site, giving the town its first theater since AMC closed last September.

By the numbers: The rebuilt 42,000-square-foot theater has 10 screens, 955 seats, laser projectors and Dolby Atmos sound.

• Two screens are Emagine's EMX large format.

What we're seeing: Lots.

• Concessions line the entry's left wall, including Little Dot Pizza, coming to DoorDash in August.
• The bar will carry local brands, including Left Hand, WeldWerks, Stranahan's and TINCUP.

The theater's former concession stand and kitchen is now an event space for up to 150 people.

• Emagine owner Jon Goldstein tells Axios he hopes to bring in known comedians.

The intrigue: Parker's theater is Emagine's first west of the Mississippi River.

The bottom line: Movie tickets average about $12; Tuesdays start at $5, while a Friday-night 3D EMX ticket runs about $18.
