Firefighter memorial, airshow and a weekend festival

🚒 The International Association of Fire Fighters holds its annual Fallen Firefighter commemoration ceremony at 10am Saturday at Memorial Park.

• It includes the IAFF motorcycle Ride of Honor, followed by a grand procession with an honor guard and pipes-and-drums corps. Free.

📍 The annual Garden of the Gods Rock Ledge Ranch Powwow will draw more than 100 Native American dancers to the Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site, 3105 Gateway Road.

🛩️ The Pikes Peak Regional Airshow — the state's largest — takes to the skies Saturday and Sunday, 8:30am–4pm.

• The lineup includes 22 aircraft in the performance, 17 exhibitor aircraft and eight vehicles. Tickets start at $44.39.

👀 The Oddity and Fear Fest gets spooky season started early with eye-opening curiosities, performers and vendors Saturday and Sunday at the Colorado Springs Event Center.

• Doors open at 10am both days. Tickets start at $14.

🎃 Happy Apple Farm in Penrose won't have its namesake crops to pick, but it opens at 9am Saturday with a pumpkin patch and other family-friendly activities. Free.

🌶️ Pueblo's Chile & Frijoles Festival starts at 3pm Friday and 10am Saturday and Sunday, with live music all weekend, hot air balloon rides, chili contests and a chihuahua parade. Tickets start at $8.
