Colorado Springs gas prices top $4 again

Gas prices are rising in Colorado Springs and throughout the rest of the state.

Why it matters: Household budgets are squeezed as is. As the Iran war escalates again, pain at the pump is hitting locally and nationwide.

By the numbers: The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Colorado Springs is $4.07 on Friday — up from $3.92 a week ago and $3.72 a month ago, according to AAA.

This time last year, it was $2.95.

Zoom out: Average prices in Colorado hit $4.14 at the end of last week, a 16-cent jump compared to seven days prior.
