The U.S. Air Force F-16 flight teamThunderbirds are set to practice above Colorado Springs, from 10am–4pm today (weather allowing), ahead of tomorrow's U.S. Air Force Academy graduation flyover.
The Thunderbirds' annual graduation appearance is a Front Range tradition — and one of the best chances of the year to catch the elite F-16 team in action.
What's happening: The team will fly during tomorrow's graduation ceremony from 12:30-1:30pm.
Today's practice flights are expected throughout the late morning and afternoon.
If you go: Do not stop along the side of I-25. The Air Force Academy Airfield Overlook off of southbound I-25 is a good viewing spot for today's practice and tomorrow's flyover.
Free tickets for graduation are available through the Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce and Visit Colorado Springs offices.
The academy will also livestream the ceremony on YouTube.
