Dracula is back, and he's a zaddy now.
Driving the news: The bloodsucker returns to Cincinnati Shakespeare Company for another Halloween season — but don't expect to be scared.
- "Dracula" brings another round of fangs, innuendo and questionable life choices.
🧛♂️ Blood, sweat and cheers: "It's the perfect Halloween date night that does not involve being scared," says Jeanna Vella, Cincy Shakes' director of marketing.
- Plenty agree, as the show brought a lot of first-time visitors through Cincy Shakes' doors last year, Vella says.
🩸 Thirst trap: Not your grandma's "Dracula." The familiar characters are here, but this is faster, sillier, sexier and much more ridiculous.
- The five-person cast lets the production go big on the comedy, with actors taking on multiple roles and leaning into the absurdity.
- Think less gothic dread, more "OK, but why is Dracula kinda ...?"
