It's tough to be a Buc-ee's fan in Ohio right now

• After a lifetime of visiting gas stations with cold coffee pots and bad snack selection...
• All these years of shrinkflation, understaffed restaurants, customer service horror stories ...
• It's easy to applaud a business that seems to care about being good.

Yes, but: It's hard to applaud a business that cares this much about a tiny competitor's beaver logo.

Between the lines: Are fans of a chain responsible for its corporate actions, misdeeds and political stances?

• This has been debated for years, and your mileage may vary.

The bottom line: I wish my favorite beaver hadn't stepped in the mud on this one.

• Hopefully this all gets resolved soon and I can go back to enjoying Buc-ee's nuggets guilt-free.
