Sundance tickets go on sale Thursday

• Unlimited passes for the whole festival are available only to people who've donated at least $5,000 to the event.

• A $275 package is available to 18- to 25-year-olds and currently enrolled students of any age.

Of note: The lineup won't be announced until December, so you'll be buying blind.

How it works: Package buyers choose their screenings once the lineup is out and get an early window to pick before single tickets go on sale.

Pro tip: Package tickets are transferable and can be used for the same screening, which makes them a good fit for groups that want to see a few films together, a festival spokesperson told the Daily Camera.

• If you only want to catch one or two films, wait for single tickets, which go on sale Jan. 8.
