Ironwood brings new dining to Flatirons Golf Course

Ironwood Bar and Grille at the Flatirons Golf Course is giving golfers — and everyone, really — a new dining destination in east Boulder.
Why it matters: Because the most important hole is the 19th hole.
State of play: Ironwood opened last year at 5706 Arapahoe Ave. after two years of construction,
- The project replaced the old Flatirons clubhouse, which needed renovations after damage from the 2013 floods.
The vibe: Boulder wanted the new clubhouse to be more than a small shack selling drinks and hot dogs.
- The city brought in Noah and Tanya Westby, founders of Dagabi Cucina, to turn it into a dining destination.
- With high ceilings, TVs, a full bar and patio seating overlooking the course and the Flatirons, the Ironwood has a country club feel — without the fees and dress code.
What to expect: The menu offers course-friendly fare like sandwiches and hot dogs.
- But dinner options include chicken marsala and salmon, with eggs Benedict and steak sandwiches for brunch.
- 🗯️ My thought bubble: The duck confit and firecracker shrimp were highlights.
The big picture: Ironwood joins Odd Rabbit, Blackbelly and Yotsuba Sushi in the growing east Boulder culinary scene.
If you go: Ironwood Bar and Grille is open from 9am–9pm daily.
- Breakfast and lunch: 9am-3pm
- Dinner: 3-9pm
- Happy hour: 3-6pm
