CU Boulder to celebrate 2026 grads at spring commencement

Driving the news: The ceremony is part of CU Boulder's year-long 150th anniversary celebration.

• And actress Kristen Davis, whose father was a CU professor and mother an alumna, will be the commencement speaker.

If you go: The event is free and will be streamed online.

• Gates open at 7am. Security screenings will be in place and attendees must carry belongings in clear bags.
• After a week of rain, the forecast calls for sunny skies and highs in the 60s.

Be smart: Traffic near the stadium and around campus is bound to be congested, and other areas around town may be busier than usual post-ceremony.

• Steer clear of Colorado Avenue, 28th and Folsom streets between Colorado Avenue and around Canyon, and Broadway between Baseline Road and downtown.

• Drivers should be aware that many attendees from neighboring communities like Broomfield and Denver will use westbound U.S. 36 to Foothills Parkway Saturday morning.
