Boulder osprey nest now holds four eggs

The Boulder County osprey female laid a total of four eggs that are expected to hatch sometime next month.

The latest: The first two were laid in early April, the third came on April 15 and the fourth was laid last weekend.

• Conditions weren't ideal for the ospreys last week. The female, in particular, seemed less than thrilled that her patio was covered in snow — perhaps because she also sleeps on it.

What's next: Site moderator Jasmine Finks said it will be about five weeks before the eggs start hatching.
