Students walk out in protest of ICE

Students and teachers in Boulder joined the nationwide boycott Friday in protest of federal immigration enforcement, while hundreds more gathered Saturday.

Zoom in: Boulder Valley School District spokesperson Randy Barber said 403 of 1,956 teachers submitted absences Friday, down from the 497 who indicated the day prior that they might take leave.

• Barber said schools were able to open, but walkouts were reported at Fairview and New Vista high schools.
• Students at the University of Colorado Boulder also held a rally, according to the CU Independent.

Meanwhile, a memorial bike ride combined with a protest against ICE in downtown Boulder on Saturday.
