Students and teachers in Boulderjoined the nationwide boycott Friday in protest of federal immigration enforcement, while hundreds more gathered Saturday.
Zoom in: Boulder Valley School District spokesperson Randy Barber said 403 of 1,956 teachers submitted absences Friday, down from the 497 who indicated the day prior that they might take leave.
Barber said schools were able to open, but walkouts were reported at Fairview and New Vista high schools.
