Leave it to X Games CEO Jeremy Bloom to envision one of the most extreme houses in Boulder.
The latest: Bloom, the former University of Colorado football star and Olympic skier, is listing his home at 1151 Timber Lane for $14 million.
Zoom in: The five-bed, five-bath 4,348-square-foot dwelling takes hillside living literally, as the property folds into a rock formation in Pine Brook Hills just northwest of Boulder.
- The home has an elevator, an infinity pool and pocket sliding-glass walls that use specialized, low-reflectivity glass imported from Poland.
- "Every room has a view, and the home flows in a way that feels calm and balanced," Bloom told Axios Boulder.
Behind the scenes: Bloom paid $290,000 for the land in 2017, and it took him six years to build his "sanctuary," designed by Adam Oklesh Architecture.
- But now that he has kids, he told us he needs more room for them to roam: "As hard as it is, my personal dream for this home has to take a backseat for now."
The house has been featured in Wall Street Journal and on Reddit's zillowgonewild thread.
