Legendary CU Buffs women's basketball coach Ceal Barry was honored last weekend with the unveiling of the Ceal Barry Plaza outside the CU Events Center.
The latest: Dignitaries, including U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse and new athletic director Fernando Lovo, gathered for a ceremony to unveil a wall at the plaza with Barry's name before a CU women's basketball game Sunday.
Context: Barry is the winningest coach in team history with 427 victories, and led the Buffs to four regular season Big 8 titles, five conference tournament championships, three appearances in the NCAA tournament's Sweet 16, and three more in the Elite Eight.
What we're watching: Barry is the first in a series of CU legends and luminaries who will be recognized as part of the school's 150th anniversary celebration this year.
