As folks scramble to prepare their Thanksgiving feasts, at least two turkeys know they are safe this holiday season.
State of play: Colorado Gov. Jared Polis continued a three-year tradition of pardoning local turkeys to honor the state's agricultural heritage and history.
This year's two turkeys are from Jodar Farms in Fort Collins.
They were named Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid by online voters, appropriate given the passing this year of actor and former Boulder resident Robert Redford.
What's next: The two turkeys will get to live out the rest of their lives at Luvin' Arms Sanctuary in nearby Erie.
