Boulder High is serving up thrills this week as its annual haunted house creeps back to life.
Why it matters: Now in its 18th year, the fright fest doubles as the theater department's biggest fundraiser — and a killer good time.
Driving the news: "Shipwreck of Souls" is this year's theme, designed, built and acted out by students.
The vibe: Do not think for a moment that because this operation is largely student-run, that it won't send chills up your spine: The production rivals any of Denver's pro operations.
My thought bubble: I am not a big haunted house person, but I was roped into going one year, and as is, schools at night are already creepy.
- But the sets are well-made and designed, and the student actors reaaaally get into it.
- At one point, I was last in my group, turned around and saw this:
- Noooope.
- Nope. nope. nope. nope.
If you dare: The haunted house will run 7-10pm Thursday and Friday and 6-9:30pm Oct. 30-31.
- Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students and can be purchased online or at the door.
